Somalia records 44 new cases of COVID-19

MOGADISHU – Somalia’s ministry of health has reported new coronavirus cases in the country.

According to the data published on the official health ministry website 44 people tested positive in the past five days when over 2400 suspected cases were examined.

All the cases were located in Somaliland.

Records indicated that 34 are male while the remaining ten are male.

Somalia has recorded a death toll of 104 related to the deadly virus since the first reported case in April.

3185 recovered from the pandemic.

Somalia has reopened schools in August following closure over the spread of the coronavirus pandemic in April.
