Editor’s note: Meet the Cabinet and the Presidents team. The Newly State Minister for Office of the President, Prof. Hassan Ma’alim Khalif hosted the Egyptian and German envoys in his villa Somalia (VS)office, Mogadishu. The Egyptian Ambassador, Mohamed Nasir, and his counterpart from the German Embassy, Deputy Ambassador, Sascha Andreas Kienzle, discussed bilateral relations with the Minister while congratulating him for his recent appointment.
Amb. Andreaz Kienzle shared the Minister his government’s strategic support for Somalia expressing satisfaction at the progress made in reconstruction, peacebuilding and governance. The Ambassador, Mohamed Nasir detailed egypt’s support especially in the areas of education, security and diplomatic efforts withing Arab league and the region, while he added that Egypt would hand over humanitarian consignments to the Somali government in the coming days. Prof. Hassan Ma’alim Khalif thanked both envoys and pledged Somalia’s commitment to fostering bilateral relations with its international partners, specially Arab league and the European Union.
