The heavy road bomb remotely controlled were targeted the convey of Somali National Army (SNA) staff and its Commander-in-Chief General Odawa Yusuf Rage, who were touring the road link between Guri’eel and Dhusamareb (Galmudug State).
Meanwhile, the Somali National Army (SNA) has destroyed Al-Shabaab base in the outskirts of Mogadishu- Leego zone. There was a brief exchange of fire between the two sides, resulting in casualties on both Al-Shabaab terror group and the SNA forces. SNA said the move will disrupt the Al-Shabaab’s capability to conduct new hit and run attacks within the Outskirts of Banadir and Merka regions. Since July, Al-Shabaab hit and run groups were ambushing military staff and conducting ambushes and planting landmines to disrupt SNA movements in Southern Somalia.
