Keren (HAN) August 15.2016. Public Diplomacy & Regional Security News. The Ministry of Education Anseba region has held annual assessment meeting on August 9 – 10, this year.
In the meeting conducted in the presence of the sub regional administrators and supervisors, it was disclosed that encouraging outcome has been registered regarding the increment of students’ enrollments, in monitoring students’ health care in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, adult and extension education programs as well as the community’s active role in assisting teachers among others.
In a speech he delivered during the meeting, Mr. Hagos Adhana, head of the ministry branch in the region, said that the ministry in collaboration with administrators and managing directors will exert vigorous endeavors to promote students’ enrollments in education and to extend the number of schools in the region.
Likewise, Mr. Petros Hailemariam, D. G. of the Research and Human Resource Development in the Ministry of Education, explained on the importance of introducing new ways and means of promoting education in an effort to bridge the gap between the number of schools and students enrollment in the remote areas.
In the Anseba region there are 588 educational institutions providing educational services.
