Machar to tour IGAD member states as part of peace quest

Former South Sudanese Vice president Dr Riek Machar, has dismissed claims that he had been granted asylum in South Africa.

Speaking to CCTV earlier via phone, from Nairobi, his spokesman Gadet Dak, said the former Vice President would not take up asylum in any country and they were not aware of any such request. The spokesman says Machar is currently staying in Khartoum and is expected to tour IGAD member states to seek a solution for the current crisis in South Sudan.
