Kenya: Security Chiefs Replaced after Mandera Massacre (VIDEO)

Nairobi (HAN) December 3, 2014. Public diplomacy and National security news. The  president of Kenya,  Uhuru Kenyatta says the country is at war with Islamist militants, Al-Shabaab. that follows another massacre near the Somali border. 36 people were killed early Tuesday near Mandera, in Kenya’s north-east. Most were shot execution-style, several beheaded. It’s the second massacre in that area in ten days.

According to Geeska Afrika Online security sources, Somali Al-Shabaab militants has vowed there’ll be more to come, through their FM radio in Southern Somalia. The massacre has fuelled criticism about the Kenyan government’s security efforts.Kenya’s police chief and security minister are both being replaced, without consultations by the Kenyan President, to mitigate Al-Shabaab threats in Southern Somali borders.
