Kenya to Head IGAD Regional Security Meeting 

Nairobi (HAN) November 17, 2020. Public Diplomacy and International trade and Investment initiatives. Kenya, whose economy has suffered greatly due to the recent border conflict with Somalia, will seek to deepening its influence with member states through increased trade and military cooperation, In an effort to increase allied cooperation in the region.

Geeska Afrika Online reported, an additional challenge to that bilateral relationship is increasing Ethiopian Khat trade investment in Mogadishu and Ethiopian airlines facilitation to transport, which comes as Kenya and Ethiopian compete for influence in Southern Somalia and Somaliland market. Overall, expect the meeting to highlight recent wedges in the relations between Somalia and other IGAD members.
