Germany Contributes One Million Euros to Help Refugees in Ethiopia

ADDIS ABABA (HAN) November 14, 2015. Public Diplomacy & regional Security. The Government of the Federal Republic of Germany committed 1,000,000 Euros until the end of 2015 to support the efforts of the World Food Program (WFP) in Ethiopia.

The grant is given to provide emergency food assistance for Eritrean, Sudanese, South Sudanese, and Somali refugees in the country. With this grant WFP will provide food for refugees, targeted supplementary feeding for malnourished children and pregnant and lactating women as well as school feeding programs.

In a statement, the German Embassy in Addis Abeba said, “in addition, the fund will also be used to support income generating and livelihood diversification activities such as beekeeping, vegetable gardening and animal fattening.”

In July 2015, the Government of Germany has granted 3.5 million Euros to the United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) to the project “Assisting Refugees from South Sudan to Ethiopia, Kenya, Sudan and Uganda and refugees and internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in South Sudan in frame of the South Sudan Situation”. In Ethiopia the funds are used to improve registration services for arriving refugees and to establish community based child protection structures.

Do you mean WOYANE (Ethiopia minority regime) had to beg on the road and only got 1.000000 to feed their own hungry population. unbelievable where are the 10% growth. how long will spread lies Ethiopia? Now it was revealed that it was all a lie 15% of the population is acutely threatened by hunger to death, now they can no longer hide. If a country had so much growth, no need to starve, but unfortunately that is not the case, because this is quite simply a lie. Ethiopia has always lived only by USAID. Since 1994, Ethiopia has gotten ca.62 $ billion as beggars money no other country gets as much money as the beggar, and they call it growth. you just go few kilometers out of Addis to see the misery of the country. so do not tell lies, they need the money to buy a few boxes of whiskey to make diplomats drunk and then to tell them lies.
