Meanwhile, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shoukry discussed bilateral relations and also met with ‪‎Ethiopian Public Diplomacy Team.

The strategy of the Ethiopian Public diplomacy is to understand, inform, and influence Egyptian public in promotion of the Ethiopian national interest and to broaden the dialogue between Ethiopia and Egyptian institutions and their counterparts abroad.

To accomplish this, they explained and advocate Ethiopian dam policies in terms that are credible and meaningful in Egyptian foreign policies;

They provided information about the Ethiopian new development initiatives, its people, values, and Federal institutions towards nations and nationalities;

To build lasting relationships and mutual understanding through the exchange of Egyptian people and ideas; and finally, to advise Ethiopian decision-makers on foreign attitudes and their implications for Nile water policies.
