ADDIS ABABA (HAN) June 12.2016. Public Diplomacy & Regional Security News. Foreign Minister Dr Tedros Adhanom met and held discussions with the Vice President of Cuba, Salvador Valdes Mesa and the Foreign Minister, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla during his three day working visit currently underway in Havana from 10-12 June 2016. During the meetings, the two sides agreed to further strengthen the longstanding bilateral ties between Ethiopia and Cuba to a higher level.
They also exchanged views on various regional and international issues of common concerns and expressed readiness to cooperate and work together in the field of multilateralism. Dr Tedros also attended a wreath-laying ceremony at Jose Marti Memorial in the Revolution Square of Havana, and visited Cuba’s leading public health institute, the Tropical Medicine Institute “Pedro Kourí” (IPK).
