Addis Ababa, October 23, 2020 –Chinese companies which invested in Oromia regional state have donated medical supplies to the regional state to fight COVID-19 pandemic.
The medical equipment handed over to Chief Administrator of the Regional State, Shimeles Abdisa, include among others 350, 000 facemasks, 20 ventilators and 4,000 Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Shimeles on the occasion said that the donation is a sign of solidarity in COVID-19 response, adding it would further strengthen the Ethio-China relation.
The Chief Administrator thanked the companies for donating the medical supplies and invited more Chinese companies to invest in the regional state.
Dr Mengistu Bekele, head of the regional state’s health bureau, said the donated equipment would be used to fight the pandemic.
