Ethiopia: Agency announces university entrance points

Addis Ababa (HAN) August 25.2016. Public Diplomacy & Regional Security News.  The National Educational Assessment and Examination Agency (NEAEA) announced the 2009 Ethiopian academic year university entrance points today.

Accordingly, the entrance point for regular and evening male students in natural science field is 354 and above while, the entrance point for female students is 340 and above.

Evening social science male students are required to get 330 and above, while female students are expected to get 320 and above.

In natural science field, female students in emerging regional states and pastoralist areas are required to score 335 and above, while male students are expected to get 340 and above.

Male private students are required to get 360 and above, while female students need to score 355 and above in both natural and social science filed to join higher learning institutions.

In social science field, female students in emerging regional states and pastoralist areas are required to score 315 and above, while male students are expected to get 320 and above.

In natural science, female students in emerging regional states and pastoralist areas are required to score 340 and above, while male students are expected to get 335 and above.

For both hard of hearing natural science students the entrance point is 297 and above, while social since students are required to get 275 and above.

All visually impaired students are expected to get 200 and above to join higher learning institutions.

All those who need to pursue education in regular, evening and distance programs at both private and government higher learning institutions are expected to get 295 and above.

The result of grade 10 students will be released after three days.
