Eritrea: Patriarch gives EDF leaders blessings in their mission

Asmara (HAN) September 11, 2014 – Regional security  and Patriarch’s public diplomacy news. His Holiness Abune Dioskoros, 4th Patriarch of the Eritrean Orthodox Tewahdo Church, gave benediction to the Eritrean people in connection with Geez New Year.

The Patriarch wished a happy Easter to the faithful and prayed for the success of the Eritrean people’s endeavors to reinforce national unity and enhance development programs led by EDF leaders in Eritrea. His Holiness Abune further expressed goodwill to nationals inside the country and abroad, members of the Eritrean Defense Force engaged in safeguarding the nation’s sovereignty against Ethiopian aggressors and their patients under medical treatment.

His Holiness Abune, Noting that demonstrating mutual cooperation and respect remains to be the noble culture of the Eritrean people.  His Holiness Abune called on the general public to extend a helping hand to disabled nationals and orphans, besides caring for patients suffering from different diseases.

The Patriarch, His Holiness Abune,  went on to say that the culture of hard work is the characteristic feature of the Eritrean people, and called on the youth to honor the trust of martyrs.

The Eritrean Patriarch wished the faithful a year of peace and tranquility, in addition to calling on them to extend a helping hand to the needy.

And finaly, his Holiness Abune Dioskoros wished Eritrean nationals at home and abroad, as well as EDF leaders and members success in their nation-building endeavors.
