Dr. Tedros receives Italian investor and the Chairperson of E4Impact Foundation

Foreign Minister Dr. Tedros received Ms. Letizia Moratti Italian investor and the Chairperson of E4Impact Foundation on Monday (May 02, 2016). E4I Foundation is dedicated to the empowerment and development of entrepreneurship among women and youth in Africa. Ms. Letizia stated that her organization focuses in capacity building of local institutions, particularly in the education sector.  She said, “We work in line with United Nations Agenda 2030 and African Union Agenda 2063. We especially work in developing countries and particularly for women, children and youth.” While praising the initiative taken by the foundation, Dr. Tedros expressed that education is a priority focus in Ethiopia to which he said the government allotted huge amount of budget. He mentioned that since the coming to power of the current government, Ethiopia has increased her Universities from 2-30. The Minister added that Ethiopia also attaches significant importance to science and technology.
