Dr. Tedros bids Farewell to Turkish Ambassador Osman R. Yavuzalp

ADDIS ABABA (HAN) November 26, 2015 – Public Diplomacy and Regional Stability Initiatives News. Dr. Tedros bids farewell to Turkish Ambassador in Ethiopia Osman R. Yavuzalp on Thurday (November 26).

Ambassador Osman R. Yavuzalp said that Ethiopia-Turkey relationship is one of the most successful relationships especially in economic cooperation. He recalled that the Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan visited Ethiopia in March 2005 was an important visit in strengthening the bilateral relation of the two countries.

He noted that in 2014 seven trade fairs and in 2015 eight trade fairs were co-organized by Turkish and Ethiopian government where more than 200 Turkish companies which testifies to growing economic partnership between the two countrries.

The departing Ambassador also gave a brief mention of the World Humanitarian Summit which is going to be held in Turkey in the first half of 2015 and expressed his hopes that Ethiopia attends the Summit. Foreign Minister, Dr Tedros for his part said that Turkey is among the top three investing countries in the continent which is contributing to development of many African countries including Ethiopia.

Dr. Tedros expressed his hopes that said, the friendly relationship between of the two countries would be further strengthened. He thanked Ambassador Osman R. Yavuzalp for his relentless effort in promoting the bilateral ties of the two countries and wished him successful career in all his future endeavors.  MFA
