Addis Ababa, October 5, 2020– Deputy Mayor of Addis Ababa Adanech Abiebie has affirmed commitment to speed up construction of road projects underway in the capital, and make them operational soon.
The Deputy Mayor along with Governor of National Bank of Ethiopia Dr. Yinager Dessie has visited process of various road projects being carried out in several districts of Addis Ababa.
On the occasion, Adanech reaffirmed commitment to getting the road projects completed soon by alleviating delays, and boost municipal road access there by address traffic congestion in the city.
Deputy Mayor Adanech undelined that the city administration has given heavy emphasis to road projects connecting import-export corridors with the capital pledging commitment to closely monitor activities accordingly.
The visiting session is aimed to raise fund from various stakeholders for timely completion of the projects, the Deputy Mayo noted.
Director General of Addis Ababa Roads Authority, Engineer Moges Tibebu, to his part, remarked that great efforts are being exerted to complete the 34 Kilometer road projects till the end of the current Ethiopian fiscal year.
