A message from the former President of Faso Blaise Compaoré was sent to President Paul-Henri Sandaogo Damiba on July 26, 2022. This message read by the Minister Spokesperson of the Government Lionel Bilgo, relates in particular to the process of national reconciliation.
In exile in Côte d’Ivoire for eight years, Blaise Compaoré asked for forgiveness, on July 26, 2022, from the people of Burkina Faso, particularly the family of Thomas Sankara as well as all the martyrs and victims during his mandate.
The Ivorian delegation which sent the message to President Damiba was accompanied in particular by Djamila Compaoré, daughter of Blaise Compaoré.
The content of the message was read by the minister spokesman of the government Lionel Bilgo. Call for tolerance, forgiveness, the higher interest of the Nation, are the key words of this message. Full message here ⤵
