Africa: The fifth annual Global Entrepreneurship Summit

Addis Ababa (HAN) November 9, 2014 – Public diplomacy and Regional Financial investment news.   The world has taken notice of the entrepreneurial spirit of Africans and how this is helping economies across the continent record impressive growth. This is why the largest gathering of global entrepreneurs will be hosted in Morocco this November.

The fifth annual Global Entrepreneurship Summit (#GES2014) will bring together oview 3000 entrepreneurs, Heads of state, government officials, global entrepreneurs, small medium enterprises (SMEs), corporate leaders, and young entrepreneurs, to explore the positive impact of technology on innovation and entrepreneurship.

Themed “Harnessing the Power of Technology for Innovation and Entrepreneurship,” the Summit, which is making its debut in Africa, will feature Speakers such as United States Vice President Joe Biden and U.S. Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker.

Members of the Presidential Ambassadors for Global Entrepreneurship (PAGE) initiative will be joining Pritzker, as entrepreneurship ambassadors.

Corporate leaders in the North African country including Mohamed El-Kettani, CEO, Attijariwafa Bank; Othman Benjelloun, President and CEO of BMCE; Abdeslam Ahizo to, CEO of Maroc Telecom; Anas Sefrioui, CEO of Addoha Group, and Miriem Bensalah-Chaqroun, President, General Confederation of Enterprises of Morocco (CGEM) will all be present at the Summit.

With youth unemployment a major challenge for Africa, entrepreneurship has in recent times been seen as key source of employment across the continent.
