Ethiopia: Strategy to reduce food insecurity in Oromiya

Harar (HAN) December 8, 2014 – Public diplomacy and Regional Security and safety news. The Village Savings and Loans Associations in Oromiya region, Ethiopia. Farming in Ethiopia is the way of life for around three out of four Oromiya, but despite this, more than 31 million do not have enough nutritious food to eat in Ethiopia.

Oromiya farming projects: Farm Africa has help rural communities create Village Savings and Loans Associations to help women learn to save money.

Reporter LAUREN EVERITT recently traveled to the Oromiya region to find out for herself how the charity is improving the lives of thousands of families.
