Jigjiga (HAN) September 11.2016. Public Diplomacy & Regional Security News. Ethio-Somli Elders and Somali Clan Leaders Deliver 10 Million Ethiopian Birr to Tigrian IDPs displaced from Gondar-Amhara Regional State and surroundings.
Following the decision of the Ethiopian-Somali regional state cabinet to donate 10 million Ethiopian Birr to displaced Tigrayans (IDP) from North Gondar (Amhara State) and surroundings, regional President Abdi Mohammed Omar has suggested Somali elders and clan leaders to deliver the money to the victims.
Accordingly, a group of Somali Ethiopian elders and Somali clan leaders have delivered the donation in person to Tigray region (The home of the ruling party TPLF) disaster prevention taskforce in Mekelle.
