Ethiopia: President Sirleaf Visits Liberia Mission Near Addis Ababa, Two Ethiopian Employees to Be Retired and Honored

ADDIS ABABA (HAN) February 1, 2016 – Public Diplomacy and Regional Stability Initiatives News. Following the close of the 26th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of the African Union, President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf took time off to visit the Liberian Embassy in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

According to a dispatch from Addis Ababa, during a meeting with the Embassy staff, the Liberian leader commended the staff for their commitment to Liberia and acknowledged that things have changed greatly at the Mission due to their commitment and dedication to Liberia.

She recognized the long-services and commitment of two Ethiopian employees who have worked for the Mission for 47 and 34 years respectively.

A caretaker, Mr. Gebre Michael, who has worked for the Mission for 47 years will be retired and honored at an investiture ceremony in Monrovia with the cost of his travel paid for by the Government of Liberia. The second, will also be retired and honored by the Liberian Government.
