Diplomats at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Start a Three- day Training Session

ADDIS ABABA (HAN) November 18, 2015. Public Diplomacy & regional Security. Diplomats of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs started three days of capacity building training on Foreign Policy Analysis on Monday (November 17, 2015), at Bole Ambassador Hotel.

The training was organized and facilitated by the Policy Research and Analysis Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Cooperation with the International Law and Policy Institute (ILPI) of Norway. The training will go on for three consecutive days starting from November 17 up to 19, 2015.

On the first day of the training session Dr. Reza Lihindj, Program Leader of the International Law and Policy Institute, delivered training on a range of issues, including the meaning of policy, its normative views, policy and causality and on the complexity of policy.

During the training sessions, the participants had the opportunity to discuss and debate, in groups, about the actors responsible for designing, adopting, implementing and, finally evaluating and monitoring issues of foreign policy and other policy related matters. MFA
