Ethiopia: Tana High-Level Forum On Security in Africa

Addis Ababa (HAN) April,19.2015 – Public Diplomacy and Regional Events News. President Paul Kagame : As extremism has the element of domination, imposing one’s view on others, encouraging dialogue, protecting law and order and serving people of all faith equally helps in confronting it.

President Museveni :Managing diversity in all its forms and in the best interest of the people is a lesson one needs to take seriously while scrutinizing the challenge of extremism

President Paul Kagame : As we are losing thousands of innocent lives due to violent extremism, thinking of confronting the challenge of extremism with the loss of the lives will not imbue us with the sense of urgency we dire need to act on the challenge of politicized faith.

The Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam said : The politicization of faith in Africa is not only challenging the notion of secular political order as we know it, but it is also wreaking untold havoc on human lives and communities as a whole so much so the very fabrics that held countries together are on the verge of collapse in many places.
