Eritrea: How NUEW Networks Form the Backbone of Leadership

Asmara (HAN) November 3, 2014 – Public diplomacy and Regional Security and safety news. The Eritrean newly formed NUEW are the back-born of president’s leadership.
The newly formed Central Council of the National Union of Eritrean Women (NUEW) today concluded its meeting electing an 11-member Executive Committee and charting action plan for 2015, in addition to electing NUEW heads in the Administrative regions.

In its deliberations at the Union’s headquarter here in the capital, the Council conducted discussion as regards playing active role on the part of members in national development programs, strengthening the organizational capacity of the Union, enhancing the capacity of members in professional and community affairs, nurturing versatile youth members, organizing training courses, reinforcing competence of female citizens in all domains and the like, among others.

In closing remarks, Ms. Tekh’a Tesfamichael, Chairperson of the NUEW, stressed the need for demonstrating the capacity to live up to expectations.
