Ethiopia: Ginchi Power Station To Start Operations

Addis Ababa: Ethiopian Electric Power announced that the newly completed Ginchi Power Distribution Station has become ready for operations.

The power station built by an Indian Company, Larsen and Turbo Toubro Ltd has a capacity of holding 230/15 Kilovolt electric power will go functional soon, it is stated.

Manager of the Project, Dawit Gebreegziabher said the operation of the station built at a cost of 67.8 Million Birr is crucial to address power outage in and around Ginchi town besides availing required energy for economic sector in the area.

The Ginchi Power Station is said to have a dual clutch transmission network with 230 Kilovolt input and 10×15 Kilovolt output lines.
