Ethiopia: State Minister Redwan bid farewell to Iran Ambassador

ADDIS ABABA (HAN) September 16. 2020. Public Diplomacy and Regional Stability Initiatives News. Monitoring Regional Issues. State Minister H.E. Ambassador Redwan Hussien today (September 16) held talks with H.E. Behzad Khakpour, the departing Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Ethiopia.
Ambassador Redwan called for the need to uplift the relations between the two ancient states.
Ambassador Redwan also highlighted Ethiopia’s contribution to building peace and facilitating the economic integration in the Horn of Africa as well as Ethiopia’s stand regarding the ongoing talks over the GERD.
The Iranian Ambassador thanked the government and people of Ethiopia for extending the necessary support to make his stay in Ethiopia fruitful.
He also stressed that the two countries should uplift their relations cooperating at bilateral and multilateral fora.
