MOGADISHU (HAN) July 8.2016. Public Diplomacy & Regional Security News. The Federal government of Somalia has strongly denied circulated media reports on meeting between President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Somali media sites, stated that President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud and three other Somali officials came to Tel Aviv on a short visit and met there with Netanyahu and other Israeli officials.
Israeli officials refused to comment on the matter. Foreign Ministry Director-General Dore Gold said he could neither confirm or deny it.
Netanyahu is currently on a tour through four countries in Eastern Africa, including Kenya and Ethiopia, which borders Somalia.
