Kenya: 2014 National Music Festivals

Nairobi (HAN) August 26, 2014 – Regional entertainment and music news. Kenya hosted this year’s Kenya National Music Festivals at State House, Mombasa. I was joined by Cabinet Secretary, Education Prof. Jacob Kaimenyi and Cabinet Secretary for Sports, Culture and the Arts Dr. Hassan Wario.

Kenyan government will increase funding for the performing arts to harness and transform talent of the youth into productive activities.  A talent center is being established in Nairobi will be ready for use by next year. Kenya have already allocated KES 350 million this year for the establishment of the center and more funds will be allocated next year.

The president  called upon governors to set up county talent centers to support children who have special skills
