Weapons seized in Ethiopia's border village
Djibouti (HAN) July 7th, 2008 - Ethiopian
Security forces on Friday found Automatic weapons, remote
devices and explosives in the Himora area, south of Tessenei,
they believe were destined for the West Oromo zones and left
from Eritrea, an Ethiopian security official told HAN today in
Addis Ababa.
"An Ethiopian Border police forces found a Five Donkey with
Sugar bags containing TNT explosives, Remote control devices and
anti-tank arsenal near the town of Himora," the Border Security
Official said.
"He added that "The remote devices and explosives were headed
for the Oromo zones." The Ethiopian official said that Other
guns and other unknown devices were found in another shipment in
the nearby village after a tip off from the local militias.
