Ethiopia: Results of Election in Tigray National Regional State

Addis Ababa (HAN) May 28, 2015 – Press Release and Regional Security News. Results of election in Tigray National Regional State: As such, out of counted constituencies, in Tigray National Regional State, the Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF-EPRDF) won 31 parliamentary seats out of the 31; in Amhara National Regional State, Amhara National Democratic Movement (ANDM-EPRDF) won 107 parliamentary seats out of 107; in Oromiya National Regional State, the Oromo People’s Democratic Organization (OPDO-EPRDF) won 150 parliamentary seats out of 150; in the Ethiopian Somali National Regional State, the Ethiopian Somali Democratic Party (ESDP) won 16 parliamentary seats out of 16; 1111in the Benishangul Gumuz National Regional State, the Benishangul Gumuz Democratic Party won all seven parliamentary seats.
Similarly, in the Southern Nations, Nationalities and People’s Regional State, Southern Ethiopian People’s Democratic Movement (SEPDM) won 95 parliamentary seats; in the Gambela National Regional State, the Gambela People’s Democratic Party won all three parliamentary seats; in the Hareri National Regional State, the Hareri National League won two parliamentary seats and OPDO-EPRDF won the remaining third seat; in the Dire Dawa City Administration, OPDO-EPRDF won one seat, while the Somali People Democratic Party (SPDP) won one seat.
In the capital Addis Ababa, EPRDF won all 23 parliamentary seats.
