Tanzania: New Rewards for Airtel Customers

Dar es salaam (HAN) November 24, 2014. Expert Analysis, Your Power & Regional Influence Magazine, AIRTEL Tanzania high profile subscribers are being rewarded for their loyalty to the telecom firm through a priority pass (card) giving them hefty discounts, access to exclusive airport lounges and several other benefits.

The firm said in a statement issued in Dar es Salaam at the weekend that the Airtel Priority pass will enable the firm’s Premier customers to have access a growing network of over 700 airport lounges globally.

“Airtel customers will get away from the crowds and access an oasis of calm in lounges that offer refreshments, comfortable seating and other services during their journey.

“The 30 per cent discount will range on various products and services procured locally at hotels, restaurants, supermarkets and many other facilities,” according to the statement.

The Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office (Investment and Empowerment), Dr Mary Nagu, commended Airtel for introducing the premier card that recognises, appreciates and supports the mobile market.

She said she anticipate that the priority card would enable holders establish more contacts and explore new business opportunities globally. “I believe the priority pass with a good platform to establish business relationships and contacts will explore other business opportunities in the world,” she said.

Airtel Managing Director, Mr Sunil Colaso, said “Today we are introducing a rewarding system that acknowledges the loyalty of our premier customers.

“We are confident that the access to these lounges will not only enhance their journey, but also provide them an opportunity to establish lasting and meaningful relationships with the people they encounter with as they travel.”

Airtel Tanzania has also put in place the home Wi-Fi solution, with discount to its premier partners and Priority Pass holders With Home Wi-Fi innovative service, a user can now set-up his personalized Family Wi-Fi at home and connect up to 32 smart devices.
