Eritrea: High level diplomatic approach in Finland

Asmara (HAN) September 1, 2014 – Public diplomacy and International security news. A high level Eritrean delegation led by Mr. Osman Saleh, Foreign Minister, conducted working visit to Finland from 25 to 30 August 2014.

In the course of its visit the delegation has met with Foreign Minister MR. Erkki Tumoioja and Mr. Pekka Haavisto, Minister of International Development Cooperation and discussed bilateral and regional issues especially with regards educational cooperation and in the development of higher learning and vocational education.

The visit of the high level Eritrean delegation led by Mr. Osman Saleh has been at the invitation of the Finish Government and included Mr. Yemane Gebreab, Head of PFDJ Political Affairs, as well as high level officials from the Ministry of Education and Board of Higher Education. During its stay the delegation visited several universities and institutions of higher learning and discussed on bilateral cooperation.

Likewise, the delegation also conducted discussion with officials of ICT Tech and heavy equipment manufacturers as well as with development organizations and representatives of youth associations.

Finland has one of the most advanced educational systems in the world and it is also well known for its high technology development. Source. EFM
