At this event, Abdikarim Hussein Guled, Minister of National Security of Somalia, will discuss the government’s efforts to counter targeted attacks by al Shabaab in Mogadishu and elsewhere, progress made towards establishing administrations in liberated areas as well as the development of Somalia’s National Armed Forces and security apparatus.

The minister will also discuss the government’s proposed anti-terrorism legislation and national security issues posed by the crackdown against Somalis in Kenya.
