Ethiopia: TPLF Rebels are Going To The Mountains

Addis Ababa (HAN) December 25, 2018 – Public Diplomacy & Regional Security for Stability. The Highlander academic centre – Mekelle University which was built in Tigray Regional State in Ethiopia, has organized a political conference.  The political conference was attended by Minister Bereket Simon, the former rebel fighter, who later served as Minister of Ethiopian Government Communications Affairs Office.

After reflecting on his notes about TPLF strategy and 1974 doctrine in Tigray, the gathering began discussions on the current political situation of Ethiopia.

Mr. Amdom blamed the former rebel fighter Mr. Bereket for introducing tribal politics along with the former TPLF fighters including late Meles Zenawi and Sibhat Nega. Amdom indicated that the ruling coalition, Ethiopian Peoples’ Revolutionary Democratic Front (EPRDF), has never been elected to lead Ethiopia.

It has managed to stay on power “by stealing votes of the people of Ethiopia and divide its clans including Somali Regional State in Ethiopia”.
