Eritrea: Delegation Briefings about Nation Building and Nationalism

The Eritrean senior delegation encompassing Mr. Alamin Mohammed Seid, Secretary of the PFDJ, and Mr. Woldemicael Abraha, Minister of Local Government, conducted seminar  for Eritrean nationals residing in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and its environs on the objective situation in the homeland and regional developments vis-à-vis global developments.

The senior Government delegation provided extensive briefings as regards nation building and nationalism, foreign relations policy and its progress, development programs for 2017 and beyond and contribution of citizens as well as strengthening the PFDJ and other issues of relevance.

Indicating that with the end of the 50 years struggle for independence that took the lives of thousands of precious citizens the Eritrean people were fully engaged in comprehensive nation building process, the delegation said that the Eritrean people have ensured the security and political stability of the country as well as strong economic foundation.

The delegation pointed out that economic, political and diplomatic achievements registered in the past 26 years were through the strong participation of the Eritrean people residing inside the country and abroad.

Underlining that strengthening the PFDJ is the priority task, the delegation called on the citizens in the Diaspora to augment participation in the national development endeavors and in nurturing youth with all rounded capacity.

The annual Eritrean community festival in Riyadh commenced with patriotic zeal on 9 November under the theme “Laying Pillars for Vibrant Development.”
