Ethiopia: Journalists From Ugandan & Rwandan Meet President Dr. Mulatu Teshome

 

ADDIS ABABA (HAN) October 31, 2015 – Public Diplomacy and Regional food Security Initiatives News. A Group of journalists from Uganda and Rwanda who are visitingEthiopia met the FDRE president Dr. Mulatu Teshome on 27th of October 2015. The journalists had the opportunity to discuss with the president and presented questions on several issues. The questions dwelt on Ethiopia’s development achievements.

The president explained about Ethiopia’s plan to attain a middle income country status by the year 2025 mainly by bringing transforming the economy from agrarian to industrial lead economy. He also noted that, the rapid development trajectory, Ethiopia is heavily investing on infrastructure building railways, and construction of roads, telecommunication and energy production.

Concerning economic integration, the president said that Ethiopia will remain committed to the regional integration both at policy and infrastructure level and will endeavor to realize the development and prosperity of the African sub-continent, together with fellow African countries. MFA
