The Addis Ababa School Net Project will develop connectivity among 65 education institutions, including 64 secondary schools and one university college by way of facts and communication technologies (ICT) infrastructure.
The Addis Ababa City Education Bureau has implemented the project that amounted to an investment of much more than 240 million Ethiopian Birr (11.5 million U.S. dollars), according to bureau head Dilamo Otore.
Speaking through the delivery ceremony of the project at Menelik II Secondary School in Addis Ababa, Dilamo said the project enables the education program in the nation to be supported with timely ICT technologies.

“These days, we launch this infrastructure, a technologies that will help educators and students in the teaching-mastering procedure,” mentioned Dilamo.

Reiterating that Ethiopia and China have maintained constructive relations and cooperation due to the fact they forged diplomatic ties 45 years back, Zhang Lin, Commercial Counselor at the Chinese Embassy in Ethiopia, mentioned a quantity of Chinese providers, including Huawei, are investing in Ethiopia, which benefited the country’s development.
